I Took A Break

Where did the time go? In February, our middle daughter, Elizabeth, and her husband Ryan, (along with the rest of our extended family 😊) celebrated the birth of our 2nd grand-daughter – Evelyn Marie. If you have grandchildren, I think you’ll agree with me in the joy that a newborn brings to the world!

We travelled to Chicago (Warrenville, IL to be more precise) and quarantined so that we could see our kids and our new granddaughter when she was born.

As many of you may know, during our stay in “Chicago”, I was still actively involved in our Empowering Women Mentorship Program, was proud to be featured on Vicki Bradley’s Women In Leadership Empowered Podcast and continued to connect with my PINKK Network of Powerfully Inspiring Network with Knowledge and Kindness.

But; I found the need to take a break from my weekly blog posts.

And now that we’re in the first week of June – the world is opening up – we had a fun Memorial Day Celebration - I travelled to Alexandria VA to see our youngest daughter, Emily – and I’m ready to get back to sharing my stories, ideas, insights and experiences through my blog post.

So this post is all about “Taking a Break” and being OK with it.  Whether it’s a break from a blog post (like I did) or a break from your Routine (more on that Routine vs Practice later), a break from Zoom Calls to take a mindful walk outside.  Whatever kind of break you need – take your break and don’t apologize for it.  Take a break and you’ll come back refreshed and ready to soar!
